Yucaipa Valley Presbyterian Preschool (YVPP) is a non-profit organization, a ministry of the Yucaipa Valley Presbyterian Church. Our school was established in 1969 and is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to help preschool age children grow to know themselves as unique individuals and to help them understand themselves in relation to their peers, their families, thier theachers, and God.

Our Philosophy
Play as Children's Work
In the preschool setting learning and play experiences are inseparable. Our children are developing into social beings and beginning to sense the satisfaction of this new phase of life. Play in our setting provides the stimulation and guidance where the child may grow physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Play is the most complete educational process for preschoolers. It encourages discovery about peers, family, feelings, and the world.

Parent Involvement
We recognize the importance of the entire family unit and believe any major program for the development of the young child must include consideration of and support from the parents family. We have literature about children and the development needs available for parents. A monthly newsletter is issued in order to communicate upcoming dates and other important information to families. Parent teacher conferences are held yearly and observations are encouraged.
